FOUR ATTRIBUTES OF FAITH | I. | Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him ... |
| | A. | If we want to live a life pleasing to Our Heavenly Father |
| | 1. | We must exercise our faith |
| | a. | which requires us to understand the attributes of faith |
| | A. | Rom 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. |
| | a. | a quickened word / promise for a specific situation brought to us by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit |
| | (1) | Thru: inspiration from scriptures |
| | (2) | Prophecy / Word of Knowledge |
| | (3) | Still small Voice of Holy Spirit speaking to us |
| | B. | Hab 2:1 I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me |
| | 2. | Learn to get into position to hear: |
| | (1) | Martha: vs 40 distracted |
| | (A) | Martha: vs 42 worried & troubled |
| | (2) | Mary: vs 39 "sat at the feet of Jesus" heard the word |
| | (A) | choose that good part |
| | (B) | Note: "not be taken from her" |
| | 1. | First thing we must do is: |
| | a. | vs 14 "Lift your eyes now & look from the place where you are" |
| | (1) | Eph 1:3 "Blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ" |
| | (A) | Where are we?.....IN CHRIST & we must see ourselves BLESSED |
| | | (1) Regardless of circumstances lift your eyes now!!!!!!! |
| | | (A) Eph 1:20-21 we are seated in heavenly places in Jesus: |
| | | (1) puts us above all that we face / dwell!!!!!!! |
| | b. | "all the land which you SEE I will give to you" |
| | (1) | Can you see your promise land |
| | (2) | can you see that land of healing & deliverance? |
| | (3) | can you see the land of prosperity & victory? |
| | (A) | God says if you can see it by faith....He will give it to you |
| | B. | FAITH SEE FROM GOD’S PERSPECTIVE / not the devils |
| | 1. | Prayer to pray to enhance our spiritual sight: |
| | a. | Eph 1:17 "spirit of wisdom & revelation" |
| | (1) | vs 18 "eyes of your understanding enlightened" |
| | C. | FAITH SEES & REMEMBERS GOD’S BENEFITS: |
| | c. | Redeems our life from destruction |
| | d. | Crowns our head with mercy & loving kindness |
| | e. | Satisfies our mouth with good things |
| | 1. | We speak what we believe: |
| | a. | Matt 12:34 For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks |
| | b. | Rom 10:8 "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" |
| | B. | When God speak to us He always speaks Faith: |
| | | Gen 17: 5 No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations |
| | a. | When God spoke to Abraham, The Lord did not say You old man & your wife are beyond years of birthing |
| | b. | No God called Him Abraham: "father of many nations" |
| | (1) | In regards to Abraham the bible says: Rom 4:17 "calleth those things which be not as though they were". |
| | | Gen 32:28 And He said,"Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed." |
| | a. | God looked at Jacob & did not leave him with a name that meant deceiver |
| | (1) | Rather called him: Israel: Prince who prevails |
| | | Judg 6:11 - 12 "Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites." ... " ... mighty man of valor!" |
| | a. | Gideon was in fear / hiding / did not want his harvest stolen |
| | b. | Probable had to turn around & see who the angle was talking to: |
| | (1) | "mighty man of valor" |
| | 1. | No matter what Abraham faced he did not stagger (Def Withdraw) At the promises of God |
| | 2. | No matter what he faced, no matter how long it took he endured |
| | A. | Mark 11:24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. |
| | 1. | Mary: received the words of the angel before they ever manifested: |
| | a. | Luke 1:38 Then Mary said, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word. |
| VII. | Pray the prayer of faith with me & lay hands on you: |
| | A. | Salvation / eternal life |
