RESTORING THE HOUSE OF GOD 2 Chron. 24:4-13

| | a. | Priests became use to living in deteriorated conditions & did not heed the cry of the King vs 5 to "hasten" |
| | (1) | type of the believers response to King Jesus & toward their Pastors cry for restoration in their lives |
| | 2. | Heb 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation" Def neglect: be careless of, to make light of |
| | a. | There can be no "escape" or deliverance: be it the return of the Lord, or escape from trials if we are neglecting our salvation |
| V. | What Joash did in light of their response is what Five Fold Ministry Gifts must still do today: |
| | A. | 2 Chron 24:6 Joash preached the Word of God by quoting what Moses had penned in scripture (Ex 30:12-16) |
| | 1. | Joash did not let neglect & disobedience hinder his passion for restoration |
| VI. | Key to restoration: 2 Chron 24:13 "So the workmen labored," |
| | A. | In order to experience restoration we must become workmen: 2 Tim 2:15 "rightly dividing the word" |
| | 1. | If you work the Word, the Word will work for you: results: no shame Isa 61:6&7 |
| | B. | "The work was completed by them": they did not quit half way, did not become weary, offended, discouraged |
| | 1. | Gal 4:19 "travail (prayer & intercession) in birth again until Christ be formed in You": work was completed |
| VII. | Key to restoration: Restored the house to it’s original condition 2 Chron 24:13 |
| | A. | In order to do this we need a pattern. The Pattern we are to build by is Jesus & the Word of God |
| | 1. | Examples of building by God’s pattern: Moses Ex 25:8&9 / Solomon & David 1 Chron 28:19 / Paul Titus 2:7 |
| | B. | Dangers of not building according our lives & church according to God’s pattern: Rev 22:18&19 |
| | C. | The original pattern / condition of man before the fall: Gen 1:28 be fruitful, subdue, dominion |
| | 1. | Fruitful: in every area of life not just reproduction: 3 Jn 2 |
| | 2. | Subdue: bring into subjection / now plants life subdues man thru tobacco, alcohol, drugs: |
| | a. | need power & authority of God: Lk 10:19 & Acts 1:8 |
| | 3. | Dominion: to prevail: this includes prevailing over life & the devil: Jn 10:10 Jesus gives abundant life |
