"PLANTED IN THE HOUSE"
Ps. 92:12-14

| III. | God does the choosing when it comes to the Local Church we are to be planted in: |
| | A. | Deut 26:1-3 "go to the place where the Lord your God chooses" |
| | B. | Deut 12:5 "But you shall seek the place where the Lord your God chooses" |
| | C. | Deut 12:11 "then there will be the place where the Lord your God chooses" |
| | 1. | We cannot flourish by attending church anywhere we choose / or not attending at all |
| IV. | This spiritual principle goes back to the beginning of mankind: Gen 2:8 |
| | A. | God our Father is a master gardener: "The Lord God planted a garden" |
| | B. | Why did God plant a garden, instead of creating one? Lk 13:18-19 |

| | 2. | MOISTURE: living water of the Holy Spirit & presence of The Lord |
| | 3. | FERTILIZER: spiritual discipline & accountability |
| | a. | God knows your purpose, ministry, gifts, talents, needs & battles you will face |
| | (1) | God knows where to plant us, not so we merely survive: but grow, bear fruit & be blessed |
| V. | GO THERE....GIVE THERE....EAT THERE.... Deut 12:5-7 |
| | A. | GO THERE: Deut 12:5: "there you shall go" |
| | 1. | Rev 2:4 "First Love" principle: we make time for whom and what we love |
| | a. | Ps 134:2 "in the sanctuary" Deut 11:14-17 Don’t forget The Lord & His House |
| | B. | GIVE THERE: Deut 12:6 we are to bring our tithes to our place of worship |

| | b. | Deut 12:14 "but in the place which the Lord your God chooses.....there you shall offer burnt offerings" |
| | C. | EAT THERE: Deut 12:7 "there you shall eat" |
| | 1. | Spiritual food will be found in the place / house / local church God plants you in |
| | 2. | A Place Called "There": 1 Kings 17:1-4 Note: vs 4 "feed you there" |

| | b. | God was telling Elijah to go to the place of covenant for provision |
| | (1) | We must understand that we need to be planted in our place called "there", our place of covenant & provision |
| VI. | Gen 2:8-9......note vs 9 "tree of life" |
| | A. | God plants the believer like a seed, in the spiritual ground of a local church / garden / House of The Lord |
| | 1. | The Lord then assigns a Pastor (Gardener) the responsibility of cultivating the "planting Of The Lord" |
| | a. | Then God plants a "tree of life" in the midst of that garden / local church |
| | b. | Enabling that local church to become a life giving place to all who put down spiritual Roots |
| | B. | That "tree of life" in the midst of the garden was a type of the "Cross of Jesus Christ" |
| | 1. | And in this garden / house of The Lord / local church is the: |
| | a. | SOIL: where you can become Born Again and be "In Christ" |
| | b. | LIGHT: illumination of the Word of God as it is preached & taught |
| | c. | MOISTURE: living water of the Holy Spirit & presence of The Lord |
| | d. | FERTILIZER: spiritual discipline and accountability through the pastor in the garden / house / local church, who are committed to watching over you soul |
