2. They were full of, controlled by, & dependent upon the Holy Spirit
3. They had a strong prayer life: corporate & personal
4. They walked in supernatural boldness
5. They supernaturally ministered of to the needs of people

I. This Lesson: THEY BONDED TOGETHER IN UNITY
A. In order to flow in love & unity, we must see the church as a “BODY”: 1 Cor 12:12-27

1. Def Schism: division
2. The fruits of schism: / division:
     a. Mk 3:24-25, 1 Pet 3:7, Lk 11:17, 1 Cor 1:10-13

1. Acts 1:14 unity in corporate prayer
2. Acts 4:24 unity resulted in being filled with boldness
3. Acts 2:1 unity resulted in the out pouring of the Holy Spirit
4. Acts 2:46 - 47 unity in the temple & homes
     a. results: gladness, flowed in became praise, favor, souls added to the church
5. Acts 5:12 unity resulted in miracles, signs & wonders
6. Acts 8:4 - 8 Unity resulted in miracles & joy

1. Def Agree: to be harmonious, to play a symphony together, to accord

II. Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
A. The Word of God is to be our source of agreement

1. Unity / Agreement is described in The Word of God as:
     a. Walking in the Spirit Gal 5:16 & 17
     b. Walking in Faith: 1 Cor 5:7

III. Jesus prayed for Unity: Jn 17:11 & Jn 17:20-23
A. Results: vs 22 Glory of God manifest in and through us
     Results: vs 23 A harvest of souls: the world may come to know Jesus

IV. Unity is not an automatic thing: (in a church or home) Eph. 4:3
A. Def Endeavoring: to make effort, to be diligent, to labor

1. A lack of unity is a sign of carnality & immaturity: 1 Cor 3:1 - 3

1. Vs 12 perfect / mature the saints
2. Vs 13 bring the saints into unity
